The Breast Program at Summa Health gives patients coordinated access to high-quality, personalized care for any breast concern – from benign conditions to an abnormal mammogram, to diagnosis, treatment and survivorship for breast cancer – in a single location, staffed with a multidisciplinary team of recognized breast specialists.

Patients see various specialists without having to move from building to building.
Our Breast Centers offer patients access to:
Summa’s Breast Centers are located in Akron, in the Richard M. and Yvonne Hamlin Pavilion on the campus of Summa Akron City Hospital, and in Barberton, in the Parkview Center on the campus of Summa Barberton Hospital.
Summa Health has adopted 3D mammography for all mammograms. Patients can now choose 3D or 2D mammograms. With the introduction of 3D mammography at eight imaging locations throughout northeast Ohio, Summa becomes the only hospital in the region to provide this breakthrough technology for both screening and diagnostic exams at all its locations. In 2015, Summa installed the FDA-approved 3D mammography technology because it allows earlier detection of potential breast cancers and reduces unnecessary callbacks. Learn about 3D mammograms.
