Biographical Sketch

Dr. DeMund grew up in the Akron area and attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her OB/GYN residency training in Cleveland, Ohio, at Case Western Reserve University/St. Luke's. She returned to the Akron area initially with Kaiser Permanente and then solo practice, eventually merging to form Cuyahoga Valley Women's Healthcare. She went to Kentucky to practice for two years but returned in 2006 to practice in the Wadsworth/Barberton area. She provides a wide range of obstetrical and gynecology services with special interests in menopause, minimally invasive surgery, and adolescent gynecology. Dr. DeMund is a past president of the Summit County Medical Society and was on the Board of Trustees of the Summit County Mental Health Association. While in Kentucky, Dr. DeMund volunteered as the medical director for the area's seven-county children's sexual abuse clinic. Dr. DeMund is a graduate of the Leadership Akron Class X and member of the Leadership Akron Alumni Association.
