Biographical Sketch

Dr. John Devine was born and raised in California. He came to Ohio to attend medical school at NEOMED. After medical school, he completed a four-year residency training in obstetrics and gynecology. Upon completion of his residency training, Dr. Devine was accepted into his three-year fellowship training in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery under the guidance of Donald R. Ostergard, M.D., the father of the field of urogynecology, at the University of California at Irvine. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Devine returned with his family to open a private practice and provide a much-needed service to the Akron community. Three years ago, he partnered with Summa Physicians Inc., and together they provide state-of-the-art female pelvic floor medicine to the women of Akron and surrounding communities.
