Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Dr. Radwany has been medical director of hospice and palliative care services at Summa Health System since 1999, helping to establish a hospice program, palliative care consult services, and palliative care inpatient units. He also serves as program director of the hospice and palliative medicine fellowship and has chaired the Ethics Committee for Summa Health System since 1996 Dr. Radwany is a professor of internal medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He has presented at many meetings throughout the U.S. and internationally includung Cuba, Hungary, Peru, Vietnam and Argentina. He is a Fellow and Laureate of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine and has been board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine since 1997. Dr. Radwany received his medical training at the University of Cincinnati and Northwestern University.
