Biographical Sketch
Dr. Sprance is a board-certified general surgeon practicing in Barberton, Ohio, for 18 years. She has devoted her surgical practice to the care of patients with breast diseases since December 2002. In March 2005, Dr. Sprance was named medical director of the breast care program at Summa Barberton Hospital and was responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive breast cancer program for the facility. The breast care program was accredited through the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) in spring 2010. Dr. Sprance was the seventh surgeon in the U.S. to be certified by the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBS) in stereotactic breast biopsies in 2008 and received ASBS certification in breast ultrasound in 2011.
