Justin Wigington, an active, outdoors-loving young adult, was in a horrific car accident one night in March 2012 only three minutes from home. He was ejected from his car and experienced a traumatic spine vertebrae injury. His spine was severely broken — the worst type of spine injury that could happen to someone.
Dr. Scot Miller performed a spinal fusion to correct Justin's broken vertebrae, but there was a 99% chance Justin would never walk again. The odds were in his favor though — Justin took his first steps and was walking on his own within a few months of the accident.
Dave Towell had lived with back pain for over 20 years. He used many different options for temporary relief. When Dave's extreme back and leg pain started affecting his activities and work, he knew temporary fixes were no longer a solution.
Dr. Miller performed back surgeries for Dave to relieve his pain. To this day Dave still golfs three to four times a week and lives the active retired life he has always wanted.
Ron Tatlock had lived with back pain for nearly 10 years. He would visit his physical therapist for temporary relief, but around mid-2010, the pain began to worsen. His legs and feet started to go numb and he had trouble walking stairs. Realizing that something as simple as tying his shoes had become an impossible task, Ron decided to have surgery.
On April 11, Dr. Brower performed surgery, and within a few weeks Ron was able to walk two flights of stairs with no hesitation and — more importantly — no pain.
Ron loves to be active and now he can take his noontime walks with no fear they will bring pain.
