Summa’s New Parking System Offers Improved Convenience and Payment Options
Parking garages on the Summa Akron City and St. Thomas Hospital campuses are now attendant-free, as Summa Health System evolves to the newest, technology in parking systems.
The state-of-the-art system offers many benefits for our patients and visitors.

- Environmentally friendly - less waiting to pay an attendant, reduces vehicle emissions
- Increased payment options - now you can pay for parking with credit cards
- Printed receipts - include a convenient record of expenses for business purposes
- Decreased waiting times - pay by credit card and you can pay directly at the exit
Bright blue pay stations, accepting both cash and credit cards can be found at the following convenient locations:
- Professional Center North Building - 75 Arch Street (ground floor lobby and 2nd floor bridge area)
- Professional Center South Building - 55 Arch Street, (ground floor garage lobby)
- 25 Adolph Street Parking Garage - (1st floor bridge area)
- Summa St. Thomas Hospital - (first floor hospital lobby)
The new parking system offers visitors many opportunities to save on parking fees
- Paying parking fees at the pay station can minimize parking costs - you get a 30 minute grace period to return to your car after paying
- You have the option - to purchase daily, weekly and monthly passes at a reduced cost from Summa valets
- Golden Buckeye discount vouchers - saves seniors $1.00 off their parking with free parking for inpatients on the day of their discharge
Golden Buckeye discount vouchers and parking validation tickets for discharged inpatients are available at the following locations:
- Summa Akron City and St. Thomas Hospital - Ground Floor Help Desks
- Summa Akron City Hospital - 2nd Floor Help Desk
- Summa Akron City Hospital - Valets at Main Entrance
- Summa Akron City and St. Thomas - Security
If you should experience any problems at all, call boxes are located at the garage exits to assist you.
Valet parking is located at the main entrance of each hospital and is available Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
