| Yoga | | Description | Learn to connect the mind and body to relax and get fit through yoga poses and deep breathing. This class is guided through movements that improve strength and flexibility while clearing the mind.

| Wrestling Skin Clinics | | Date: | 12/1/2009 through 3/6/2010 |
| Description | Weekly skin clinics are offered to all high school wrestlers beginning the first week of December through the first week of March.
- Same Day/Next Day Appointment also available by calling 1-888-7-SUMMA-SPORT.
High school wrestlers needing skin checks have a convenient way to obtain them. Our sports medicine physicians offer weekly skin checks to all middleschool, high school and college wrestlers.
The clinics operate as follows:
• Mondays at our St. Thomas, Streetsboro and Barberton offices from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
• Tuesdays at out St. Thomas and Streetsboro offices from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
• No appointment necessary
• Athletes under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
• Walk-ins are taken on a first come, first served basis
• All wrestling compliance issues and forms will be completed by the physician for participating
• Bring your insurance card and photo ID for billing purposes
• NOTE: skin checks must be performed BY TUESDAY for athletes to compete that week end.
Any medications prescribed by the physician MUST BE STARTED IMMEDIATELY

| Lose Weight and Keep It Off! | | Description | You CAN lose weight and keep it off, and we can help you! Summa's Bariatric Care Center offers a unique, non-surgical approach to long-term weight loss.
This 12 week program, provides a confidential assessment by a physician, a dietitian, and a clinical exercise specialist. Following these evaluations, an individually tailored eating and exercise plan is designed for each participant. All plans are based upon the most recent research concerning weight loss. Participants also attend weekly group sessions led by a dietitian or a clinical exercise specialist, and are assisted in developing an exercise program which they can perform regularly. Exercise plans include a combination of aerobic conditioning and strength training, with all recommendations made by a clinical exercise specialist. All patients begin with a physician evaluation in the Bariatric Care Center. Following medical clearance, program enrollment is available.
The physician visit is billed to insurance, and the fee for the 12 week program is $299. All fees are due at the time of enrollment. A payment plan is available for holders of a valid credit card. Employees of Summa Hospitals are eligible for payroll deduction of the program fee following a down payment of $100. | Diabetes Education for Adults | | Description | The Summa Center for Diabetes Care offers educational sessions to help you learn to live with diabetes.
Participants receive an initial assessment interview with a nurse and a dietician to determine their individual needs. After the assessment, participants attend either individual or group sessions. During these sessions a multidisciplinary team of nurses, dietitians and behavioral specialists promote general understanding of the disease and its maintenance through discussions about medications, nutrition, hygiene, prevention of complications, exercise and more. Each participant then attends a follow up appointment with the center’s nurses and dietitians.
A physician’s referral is required.
