Postgraduate Day 2012 Scientific Research Sessions

Summer Fellows

Summa Akron City and St. Thomas Hospitals will host its 20th Annual Postgraduate Day activities on Friday, June 1 and Monday, June 4, 2012, when we celebrate the accomplishments of graduating residents and fellows and recognize their scholarly productivity in research. This two-day event serves as testimony to Summa Health System's commitment to graduate medical education, which helps in fulfilling its mission to provide the highest quality, compassionate care to the citizens of our region.

The scientific research sessions begin with the Interactive Poster Presentations Session on Friday, June 1, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Ann & David Brennan Critical Care Center Lobby. Poster presenters have the opportunity to discuss their research with the Postgraduate Day judges and others from our research community. The Oral Presentations Session begins on Monday, June 4, from 8:00 - 11:30 a.m. in the Raymond C. Firestone Auditorium. Research papers are presented orally in the categories of Basic Science, Clinical Science and Medical Education. Prizes are awarded for each of the research categories and presented at the Postgraduate Day Banquet held on Monday evening.
