Summa Health System's Office of Technology Management (OTM) works collaboratively with physicians, researchers, students and staff to facilitate the development of intellectual property (patents, inventions, trademarks and copyrightable works) to improve the health of our community. We manage all intellectual property developed by our employees and provide the resources needed to facilitate innovation, prototyping, product development funding, clinical trials, animal facilities, strategic industry collaborations and technology commercialization. A primary goal for the OTM goal is to assist Summa Health System's inventors to understand our system board approved policy related to intellectual property and the processes in place to facilitate the flow of innovative ideas from concepts to the production/manufacturing of actual medical products and services.
Summa Health System employees are encouraged to submit innovative ideas generated from your work in patient care or research.
