Support Groups
Life After Stroke provides a forum for stroke survivors and their families to share ideas and solve problems after stroke. A health professional from Summa’s rehabilitation staff facilitates each meeting, with community speakers lending their expertise on successful living after a stroke. Please join our group to receive:
- Information related to post-stroke concerns and stroke prevention
- Opportunities to discuss experiences in a supportive setting
- Healthy coping strategies to improve quality of life
The meetings are held the second Friday of every month, from 10 a.m. to noon at:
Summa Akron City Hospital campus
95 Arch Street, Akron
Suite 175 - Women’s Resource Center
Meetings are free of charge and free parking is provided in the 95 Arch Street parking garage Refreshments are provided.
No registration is necessary.
