Meet the Team
Patrick A. Palmieri, Ph.D., Director, is a clinical and research psychologist. He specializes in treating the effects of military and sexual trauma. His research focuses on the assessment and treatment of traumatic stress and its link to physical health.
Ellen Harrington, Ph.D., is a clinical and research psychologist. She specializes in trauma-focused therapy, eating pathology and multicultural issues. Her research focuses on the interface among trauma, eating and cultural factors.
Kristine Rork, Ph.D., is a clinical and research psychologist. She specializes in trauma-related treatment of children/adolescents and their families. Her research focuses on the impact of family-related factors on child outcomes.
Center Associates: Clinical and research associates from departments at Kent State University and Summa Health System.
Staff Trainees: Psychiatry residents, psychology postdoctoral fellows and psychology doctoral students well qualified to deliver traumatic stress clinical services.
Joseph Varley, M.D., is the Chair of Summa's Department of Psychiatry and Medical Director of the Center. He specializes in integrating psychiatry with other medical and social service agencies.
