Why did you choose this as your career path?
I suffered an ACL injury in high school playing basketball. I saw an athletic trainer for my rehabilitation and thought I would enjoy what she did. Also, I wanted to work with the athletic population.
Your most memorable experience as an ATC?
My most memorable experience was when I had two athletes collide during an event. One athlete was knocked unconscious, and the other had a broken wrist. Once the athlete regained consciousness, he became very combative. I had to help spine board that athlete and then send them both to the Emergency Department.
