Why did you choose this as your career path?

My love of sport and interest in medicine are the perfect fit. I was first inspired to become an Athletic Trainer while my brother was going through his rehab for a torn ACL and broken femur. I was involved with athletic training in high school and loved the idea of working with athletes from the initial injury until they returned to play.

Your most memorable experience as an athletic trainer?

I have many memorable experiences as an Athletic Trainer. One that stands out the most to me was watching one of my athletes step onto the football field and have a successful season after recovering from a severe injury. Also, the first time a student athlete told me they looked up to me and valued my support showed me how much impact we can have on our athletes and the influence we can have beyond taking care of their sports injuries.
