Safety and Security
The Summa Health Protective Services/Police Department works 24 hours-a-day, 365 days a year, providing the Summa Health System Campuses with law-enforcement services that enhance safety and security. The department is comprised of both police officers that are fully commissioned by the State of Ohio and have law-enforcement authority identical to their municipal police counterparts and state certified security officers.
If you are in need of assistance please call us at 330-375-3277 and our certified emergency dispatcher will assign an officer to respond to you. Additionally, in an emergency you can also locate the emergency call stations conveniently located around the campuses in parking lots, parking decks, and hallways and speak directly to our dispatch center. In addition to providing a safe and secure campus environment our officers also perform many courtesy services, such as, Battery Boosts, Vehicle Lockouts, Tire Assistance, Escorts, and much more.
