Dr. Nancy Flickinger was raised in Barberton, Ohio, and graduated from the first class of Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (now known as NEOMED). After completion of her residency in family practice at Summa Akron City Hospital, she worked in a variety of settings, completing a mini-residency in occupational medicine at the University of Cincinnati and a fellowship in academic medicine at NEOMED. She holds faculty status at NEOMED and has been a member of the medical school faculty at Dartmouth Medical School. She helped establish the family medicine clerkship at NEOMED, and she is a course director for advanced life support in obstetrics and instructor of neonatal resuscitation. She has served The Ohio State University, the University of Vermont, Lake Erie College of Medicine, Case Western Universtiy, American University of the Caribbean, Ross University and others as a preceptor for medical students. She has a background in private practice, having cared for patients in New Hampshire, Vermont and Ohio. She is active in her church and stays busy with a large extended family, as well as her husband and son.
