Dr. Myers was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, until age 15 when she received an academic scholarship to attend boarding high school in Radnor, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, she received a degree in chemistry from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She attended Case Western Reserve University and St. Matthews University Schools of Medicine and received an M.D. degree. Her residency was completed at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine Quincy Family Medicine Program. She received her master's of health service administration from St. Josephs in Maine and completed a fellowship at Michigan State University in faculty development with a focus on research. Prior to moving to Akron, she was assistant professor of family and community medicine at the residency program from which she graduated, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine Quincy Family Medicine Program.
