AKRON, Sept. 1, 2011 – Heart health is about to get personal for men in greater Summit County who are all invited to a free, football-themed series of workshops on heart disease by Summa Cardiovascular Institute.
“It’s an opportunity for men to discuss their heart health and have their questions answered by a team of experts,” said Cardiologist Michael D. Bage, M.D., of Northeast Ohio Cardiovascular Specialists/Summa Physicians Inc. – Cardiology, who is speaking at the first workshop. “Participants can take advantage of free health screenings and learn ways to modify their risk factors.”
The four-week series includes interactive activities and a health screening results consultation with a registered nurse. The workshops are being offered at an opposite time of year from the national women’s heart health initiatives in February. The deadline to sign up is Sept. 19, and the schedule is as follows.
