MEDINA, Ohio, March 25, 2013 – Medina women will have an opportunity to hear from more than a dozen women’s health experts during “Spring Into Action,” a free series of talks hosted by the Summa Health Center at Lake Medina in April.
“We’re looking forward to a fun, exciting series of events that can help bring the greater Medina community of women together to learn about how to improve and maintain their health and the health of their families,” said Vivian E. von Gruenigen, M.D., system medical director for Summa Women’s Health Services. “We’re ready for people to bring their questions and really get a discussion going.
The sessions, which run from 6 to 8 p.m., include:
- “Girl Talk” on April 4, which covers women’s health related topics ranging from menopause to breast health. Panelists include Vivian E. von Gruenigen, M.D., Shannan Ross, M.D., Anita Bellante, M.D., Patrick Naples, M.D., and Susan Hong, M.D.
- “Tending Your Hive” on April 11, which covers health topics that a busy woman needs to know in managing her and her family’s health. Speakers include Patrick Naples, M.D., Greg Smith, M.D., Robert Crawford, M.D., Lisa Esterle, D.O., and Jennifer A. Jackson-Wohl, D.O.
- “Heart Health” on April 18 features a discussion on smart heart care, diabetes management and eating well with Cindy Carrell, RDLD, Roger B. Chaffee, M.D., and Elizabeth Schwendler, NP. This event also includes a healthy cooking demo.
