Akron, Ohio, Nov. 3, 2011 – SummaCare’s Medicare Advantage plan was nationally recognized with a 4.5 Star rating for 2012 in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Medicare Star Quality Rating System. SummaCare is one of two health plans in Ohio to receive this rating.
The Medicare Star Quality Rating System rates plans on a 1-5 star scale based on 50 quality measures across five categories, including staying healthy, managing chronic conditions, member satisfaction, customer service and pharmacy services.
