Eileen manages the daily operations of the Clinical Nursing Research Program. She mentors nurses through the research process, from idea development to dissemination through manuscript publication. She is a member of Summa Institutional Review Board 2 and is Chair of the Nursing Research Committee. She facilitates the Clinical Ladder Program for Advancement, is editor of Nursing Summations and tracks Nursing Scholarly activities. She represents nursing research on the Nurse Practice Council and the Research Executive Committee. She also serves as an adjunct faculty at Kent State University and Duquesne University.

Nursing Research Committee (NRC):

The Nursing Research Committee supports the Clinical Nursing Research Program through protection of human subjects and scientific review of research proposals; and through collaboration for facilitation of nursing research within Summa Health System and in the local, state, and national nursing communities.

The NRC is a subcommittee of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and provides preliminary review of proposals prior to submission to the IRB. Proposals must be submitted to the Nursing Research office by the first of the month. The NRC meets the third Thursday of the month1:30-3p for proposal review.
