Summary of Position
The Chief Psychologist is responsible for the overall direction of the Psychology section of the Psychiatry Department. Assures appropriateness and quality of care for all areas of the Psychology section through the development and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of a comprehensive quality improvement plan. They will guide the efforts of other departmental medical leaders for the development of a comprehensive quality improvement plan for the department. Such efforts include the development of quality improvement standards and criteria and the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of those standards and criteria. The Chief Psychologist interacts with Department Chairs, Service Line Leaders, Medical Directors, Program Directors, and other medical and administrative leaders as it relates to the delivery of clinical services and the training of the resident physicians. In addition, to maintaining a caseload of outpatient therapy clients.
Position Hours: The role is a total of 1.0 FTE; comprised of 0.5 FTE administrative time and 0.5 FTE clinical practice.
Candidate Requirements
- Current license without restriction or qualification to practice psychology in the State of Ohio
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as a practicing Psychologist
- Minimum 3 years of administrative/management experience
- Ongoing maintenance of all required certifications, training, and competencies
- Commitment to quality care in a patient centered, population health driven environment
