Summa Health is a large integrated nonprofit healthcare delivery system that provides coordinated, value-based care across the continuum for the people and populations we serve regardless of insurance status.
We have two tracks of postdoctoral fellowship opportunities:
Traumatic Stress. Under the guidance of Traumatic Stress Center psychologists, postdoctoral fellows in the Traumatic Stress track receive training in evidence-based evaluation and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other adjustment issues stemming from exposure to various types of trauma and adversity. If desired, there also are opportunities to be involved in research or to develop one’s own line of programmatic research.
Health Psychology. Fellows in the Health Psychology Track will have opportunities to function as part of interdisciplinary care teams, conduct assessments/evaluations, and provide brief interventions to promote overall health and wellness and help patients manage a variety of acute and chronic issues commonly found in medical populations (e.g., primary care, cardiology, weight management, and other departments). Fellows may interact with, and where appropriate, may provide supervision to Psychiatry Residents, Psychology Interns, Medical Students, Pre-doctoral students, and other trainees.
