How to read your BMI

 

   BMI Weight Status
   Below 18.5 Underweight
   18.5–24.9 Normal
   25.0–29.9 Overweight
   30.0 and 35 Obese
   40+ Morbidly Obese

Talk to your doctor about your BMI to see if you are at increased risk. A small weight loss (as little as 10% of your body weight) may help lower your risk. If your BMI is greater than 35, talk to your doctor about the possibility of a referral to a comprehensive program for weight loss management.
