They have also noticed clinical staff nurses becoming
more proactive in obtaining orders to move central lines
from sites associated with a higher risk of CLABSI to sites
where there is less risk of infection.

“That’s going to help ultimately to get the rates down even
more over the next few months,” said Rueckert.

In June 2017, Leeder gave a poster presentation about
their practices and successes at the Ohio Hospital
Association Quality Summit in Columbus, Ohio.
