DeeDee Pitts: When I first got the diagnosis of breast cancer, it was scary, and I knew I was going to need help, and I found that help at the Summa Health Williams Breast Center. The cancer support services at Barberton were amazing. The social worker provided emotional support. I didn't know what I could eat during my chemo, and so the nutritionist helped me tremendously.
When you go through the cancer experience, you don't know what's gonna happen financially, and so, I had a financial person talk to me about some of the services, and then the breast cancer support group gave me a sense of hope. I could not have gotten through this journey without that wraparound service from Summa.
