- Summa Health providers
- No appointments or video required.
- Complete an online health questionnaire anytime, 24/7/365, which takes 5-10 minutes.
- Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., 7 days per week, you’ll receive your results and follow-up care instructions from the provider in a text message or email within 60 minutes for general medical visits and within 72 hours for dermatology visits.
- If a prescription is needed, it will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice within 2-3 minutes.

- To schedule a MyChart Video Visit, log into MyChart and click on “Schedule an appointment” under Appointments.
- If your provider is available for MyChart appointments, his or her availability will display so you can select a time convenient for you.

What is a Virtual Visit?
Summa Health’s Virtual Visit is an easy way to be treated for common conditions. It provides access to board-certified doctors through secure online health portal for many non-emergency illnesses.
Comms, can we add something like this as well?
Also called telehealth, a virtual visit is a secure, real-time asynchronous consultation with a healthcare provider using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. These remote appointments allow patients to discuss symptoms, receive diagnoses and get prescriptions, eliminating travel and waiting room time. They are ideal for non-emergency issues like primary care or dermatology-related issues.
Can Virtual Visit doctors write a prescription
Yes, all Virtual Visit doctors can prescribe short-term medication for a wide range of conditions when medically appropriate. Virtual Visit doctors do not prescribe substances controlled by the DEA, non-therapeutic and/or certain other drugs which may be harmful because of their potential abuse.
Do I have access to records of my Virtual Visits?
Yes. You can access your Virtual Visit records at any time through your account.
Do you take Medicare?
Medicare patients are welcome to use Summa Health’s Virtual Visit; however, your Virtual Visit is not currently reimbursable.
Does Virtual Visit replace my doctor?
No, Virtual Visit does not replace your primary doctor. Virtual Visit should be used when you need immediate care for non-emergent medical issues. It is affordable, convenient alternative to urgent care and ER visits.
How do I pay for the consult?
You can pay for your visit with any major credit card or health savings account (HSA):
- General medical E-visits are $29
- Dermatology medical E-visits are $59
*Depending on your employer or insurance, Summa Health Virtual Visit may be provided at a reduced rate. Check with your employer to see if you qualify.
How do I set up my Virtual Visit account?
Setting up your account is a quick and easy process. Visit SummaHealth.org/VirtualVisit and click on Start a Visit. You will be guided through step-by-step instructions.
How long does a Virtual Visit take?
Each Virtual Visit E-Visit takes about five minutes to complete. The total number of questions you answer will depend on your condition.
How soon will I get a response?
If you complete a visit for a general medical visit, Summa Health Primary Care providers will respond within one hour during operating hours.
If you complete a general medical visit after hours, you will receive a response the next business day.
For dermatology visits, a Summa Health Dermatologist will provide a response within 72 hours.
Is my personal information safe?
All the information you provide is encrypted and protected. Our Terms of Service give more information on how we protect the personal information provided through our website.
Is my Virtual Visit covered by insurance?
You may submit your receipt to your insurance company, but we cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed.

When is Virtual Visit available?
You can complete an On-Demand Virtual Visit at any time. Summa Health providers will respond between 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Who can us Virtual Visit?
Anyone over 18 can create an account. You can also add adult dependents and children to your account. Visits for minor children must be completed by a parent or guardian.
How can I access Summa Health Virtual Visit?
You can access Virtual Visit from any web-enabled device – smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.
Will my provider know I've done a Virtual Visit?
If you are a Summa Health patient, your Virtual Visit records will be saved as part of your medical record. If you want to share your records with a physician outside of Summa Health, you can print or email your records, or call 330.375.3930 to have us send a copy of your Summa Health records to your provider.
