About the career:

A sterile processing technician plays an important role in indirectly providing patient care. Sterile processing technicians carefully sterilize each medical instrument and piece of equipment to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff.

About the Smart Start Program Opportunity:

The University of Akron has a ten week Central Sterile Processing Program.

We are currently recruiting students to attend this full-time, academic program at The University of Akron. The Summa Health Smart Start Program will pay full tuition and fees for Smart Start Program students. After graduation and passing a certification test, the student will agree to work for one year at Summa Health as a full-time central sterile processing technician.
