The enduring philanthropy of the Summa Health Medical Staff has been instrumental in the advancement of medical education and training. This legacy of support has been vital in maintaining the Summa Health Medical Library and Continuing Medical Education (CME) at the pinnacle of healthcare excellence.

Dean M. Frate, M.D., chief medical officer of Hospitals and president of Summa Health System Medical Staff, reflects on this tradition, “For as long as I can see in our history, medical staff leaders supported these areas to help guarantee that each physician and physician-in-training at Summa has access to a top-tier educational infrastructure in our own system.”
