The 2017 Summa Health Golf Outing presented by Saber Healthcare Group reached a special milestone on June 20 – a sunny, gorgeous day at Firestone Country Club’s famed South Course.
The event passed the $2 million mark in all-time contributions. This year’s event alone raised $266,000, with proceeds supporting the advancement of nursing education and training at Summa Health.
A crowd of 106 golfers enjoyed lunch, golf, cocktails and a formal dinner and program, where Kathie and Paul Testa, the golf outing’s 2017 honorary chairs, were celebrated for their enduring commitment to Summa Health and the Greater Akron community.
Winners on the course were the Robert B. Cooper team (scramble) and the Fisher Phillips team (best ball).
The 2017 event was chaired by Robert Grant Perry of Welty Building Company. Summa Health is grateful to him and the entire golf outing steering committee for their dedication and expertise in planning this year’s event.
Summa Health thanks all the dedicated supporters who made this landmark day possible, including the golf outing’s many sponsors.
