Attention, Medicaid Members
If you are enrolled in Medicaid, you may be required to re-enroll as Medicaid redetermination resumes in April 2023. Medicaid redetermination is the process used to ensure that Medicaid enrollees continue to be eligible for Medicaid coverage.
Please make sure your current contact information is on file with Medicaid, so you may be reached if your coverage eligibility is being redetermined.
Review the Renewal Process
To review the renewal process and verify your address on file is correct, please visit the Ohio Department of Medicaid website (using the Summa Health link below):
- Go to summahealth.org/how-to-apply.
- Scroll to bottom of page and click on the dropdown next to “Renew Medicaid Benefits” to expand content.
- Follow the four-step process, which includes the option of renewing your Medicaid benefits:
- Online through Ohio Benefits at benefits.ohio.gov
- In-person or by mail through your local county Job and Family Services office
- By phone at 1.800.324.8680
It is important to take action as soon as possible in order to reduce your risk of losing Medicaid coverage during the redetermination process.
