AKRON, Ohio, February 26, 2019 – Summa Health today announced that it has launched Virtual Visit, a telemedicine solution that allows consumers of all ages to receive diagnosis and treatment for more than 20 common medical conditions from a Summa Health provider directly through a smartphone, tablet or computer.
Summa Health Virtual Visit can treat for common, non-acute medical conditions such as eczema, female UTI, conjunctivitis, acne, colds, flu, acid reflux, minor burns, skin conditions and more. All Summa Health Virtual Visits are diagnosed and treated by Summa Health Medical Group providers from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days per week and nurse care coordinators are available 24/7.
Through Summa Health Virtual Visit, the patient communicates virtually with a provider, and within an hour the patient receives results and follow-up care instructions in a text message or email. This includes the diagnosis, personalized treatment plan and prescription routing to a pharmacy.
The cost to access Virtual Visit is $30. Consumers can use any major credit cards, Health Spending Accounts (HSA), Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to pay for treatment. The online fee does not cover the cost of prescriptions.
