Summa Health Issues 2020 Annual Report

AKRON, Ohio, November 9, 2021 –Summa Health today released its 2020 Annual Report that highlights the year's key financial performances, as well as a three-part video series exploring the impact of COVID-19 across the organization and its response to pandemic challenges.

The 2020 welcome message from Cliff Deveny, M.D., president and CEO and George Strickler, board chair, summarizes how Summa Health fulfilled numerous initiatives that were underway before the pandemic hit, as well as how the pandemic served as a catalyst for making rapid changes to how care is delivered. 

  • The Early Days of the Pandemic: When Everything Changed

Senior leaders at Summa Health reflect on their initial thoughts, describe the organization's early response and express their overwhelming gratitude to everyone who worked to care for the community.

  • COVID Comes to Our Community: On the Frontlines

Learn more about the everyday heroism of Summa Health's essential workers, the care given to its caregivers, the need to address health disparities and the generous spirit of the community.

  • Hope Arrives: Resilience, Recovery and Renewal

Summa Health caregivers share what the vaccine's arrival meant to them and some of the lessons learned over the past year, as well as offer an outlook for the future as the COVID crisis continues.
