Healthgrades, the #1 site Americans use to find a doctor or hospital.
Among Summa Health System – Akron Campus’s new recognitions are 10 Specialty Excellence Awards, which place the hospital among the top 5% nationwide for cardiac care, cardiology, cranial neurosurgery, critical care, emergency hospitalization, gastrointestinal care, gastrointestinal surgery, gastrointestinal medical, pulmonary care and stroke care. Summa Health System – Akron Campus also achieved 13 Five-Star Ratings for outstanding performance in treatment of heart attack, heart failure, stroke, COPD, pneumonia, treatment of GI bleeds, bowel obstruction, sepsis, pulmonary embolism and respiratory failure as well as for the following procedures: cranial neurosurgery, gastrointestinal surgeries and colorectal surgery.
