Dr. Forte decided to return to the area and work at Summa because of the incredible group of people who work here. His clinical interests include lung nodules/bronchoscopy, resident education, as well as leading the endobronchial valve program. Outside of work he enjoys golfing, the beach and spending time with his wife and young son.

When she isn’t working, Dr. McCann spends her time traveling with family, running, and reading. Her favorite book genres are contemporary fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. She is obsessed with espresso, dark chocolate, and electronic dance music. Her research and clinical interests include undifferentiated shock, ARDS, and ECMO.

Dr. Mike Chandler has mostly (looking at you COVID-19) enjoyed his medical career. He is currently the Chief of the Critical Care Department and works heavily on ventilator training with the fellows. While service is his love language, he appreciates that work life balance is essential. He is grateful for his wife, Tamara, a Palliative Care doc. She has kept him honest and close to sane. He has two college kids and one high schooler. He has an interest in the emerging role of artificial intelligence in healthcare. He enjoys running, Peloton, playing tabletop games with his brother (#nojudgement), and doing anything with his family. He loves that his work family is like a second family.

Dr. Matt Chandler likes the idea of running but prefers lifting instead. He participates in the Warhammer 40K. When he is relaxing you can find him looking for weird-looking mushrooms, enjoying sci-fi reboots (Dune, Foundation), hanging around a fire, or watching my dog lay in a sunbeam. He adamantly dislikes hugs outside of immediate family, learning new computer systems, artificial grape flavoring, too many binging alarms, and country music.

Dr. Harrell has been an emergency medicine-trained critical care physician at Summa Health since 2020. He completed residency at the University of Tennessee and fellowship at the University of Florida. He serves as Medical Director of the Cardiovascular ICU, with clinical interests in ECMO, post-arrest care, and shock. Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking, experimenting in the kitchen, and he humbly admits to being a subpar golfer.

Dr. Jordan is board certified in emergency medicine, internal medicine, critical care medicine, and critical care echocardiography. Originally from New Jersey, he recently relocated to Ohio and is still on the hunt for a great slice of pizza. Outside of medicine, he enjoys woodworking—especially turning bowls and making cutting boards—as well as playing guitar when time allows. He shares his home with his dog Coach, cat Tracy, and a small flock of backyard chickens. His wife and him are excited to welcome their first child in August 2025.

Dr. Matriano-Lim really enjoys works, but he really, really enjoys spending time with his family. If he can’t go scuba diving, he tends to buy miscellaneous scuba gear. In the winter he enjoys skiing with the family. While other people binge watch on Netflix, he tends to binge watch on Crunchyroll. Since March 2025, with the delivery of his son, his main objective now is to get back to his pre-pregnancy weight.

Dr. Nguyen returned to Summa after fellowship because of the care and compassion his co-attendings provide to not only patients and their families but to each other, creating an environment where education and comradery thrive. With interests in ventilator management, ECMO, and global health initiatives, Dr. Nguyen works to better not just patient outcomes locally but worldwide. Outside the hospital, he enjoys Pokémon, competitive pickleball matches, and immersive gaming sessions. Passionate about both cutting-edge critical care and personal hobbies, he brings curiosity and energy to every arena he enters.

Dr. Ramaniuk is a Core Teaching Faculty in the PCCM fellowship with a passion for medical education, in style of Socratic Method meets Dagestan UFC training camp. He is passionate about excellence in Asthma and COPD care, with interest in novel therapeutics and bronchoscopy lung volume reduction. In the ICU, he believes in excellence, compassion, sepsis bundles and mechanical ventilation without asynchrony. He enjoys working together with residents and fellows, reviewing pulmonary and critical care topics over Akron's best tacos and pizza, and staying hydrated with the continuous infusion of ICU nursing station coffee. Outside of work its family time, occasional travel to Mexico and Italy, literature and audiobooks, GTL, sauna and cold plunge.
