Required rotations include:
- Ambulatory Care Medicine - 1 month
- Critical Care Medicine - 1 month
- Coronary Care Unit - 1 month
- Emergency Medicine - 1 month
- General Internal Medicine - 4 months
- Night Float Medicine - 1 month
The Elective months of the Transitional Year can be scheduled in:

- General Surgery*
- Medical Subspecialties (cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, hematology, infectious disease, nephrology, oncology, pulmonary, rheumatology)
- Neurology
- Obstetrics/Gynecology*
- Orthopaedic Surgery*
- Plastic Surgery*
- Pathology*
- Psychiatry
- Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Research
- Radiation Oncology*
- Surgical Subspecialities*
- Urology*
