Interventional Radiology Care

Our Interventional Radiology (IR) team uses minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and/or treat conditions in almost every organ of the body.

Interventional Radiology

Interventional radiologists use minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and/or treat conditions in almost every organ of the body. Using imaging techniques such as CT scans, ultrasound, MRI and fluoroscopy, interventional radiologists view images that are used to guide instruments through the area of the body that is being diagnosed or treated.

Treatment of many diseases such as cancer, narrowing of the blood vessels, kidney failure or spinal fractures is often performed using Interventional Radiology (IR). Since IR utilizes minimally invasive techniques, patients are less likely to suffer major trauma to body tissues and organs, and treatment and healing processes are faster. In most cases, patients can return home the same day of their procedure.
