The pharmacy department at Summa Health hospitals is a 24-hour operation responsible for dispensing medications daily to hospitalized patients with additional services provided in the outpatient setting. The pharmacy department consists of pharmacists, certified pharmacy technicians and support personnel, working together to assure patients receive the highest quality pharmaceutical care possible.

The pharmacy department serves as an experiential teaching site and internship site for all Ohio colleges of pharmacy as well as other schools. A PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency, PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency, and a PGY2 Pain Management and Palliative Care Pharmacy Residency are also offered.
