About Inpatient Rehab

Inpatient rehabilitation (rehab) facilities play a crucial role in helping individuals regain functional independence and improve their quality of life after experiencing significant injuries, surgeries or medical conditions. Summa Rehab Hospital focuses on helping patients regain their physical, cognitive and functional abilities.

As an inpatient, you’ll be the center of a multidisciplinary team helping you maximize return to function, perform daily activities and return to home, work, school and leisure interests. You will learn the foundational skills for independent living by assuming greater responsibility to direct and perform your own care. We also educate family members to play an active support role while you are in the hospital and after returning home.
