Visitation Guidelines
General Information
Summa Health has established a new visitation policy effective May 1, 2026. Visitation is available 24/7, though certain areas may have designated hours or controlled access (see below). Visitors should follow posted signage and use the appropriate entrances at each campus.

Visitation Restrictions
Visitation may be limited or restricted to protect patient safety. Visitors are expected to follow all isolation precautions, including required protective equipment when applicable. Care teams may restrict visitation based on infection risk or non-compliance with precautions.
While masking is optional upon entry, some cases – based on a patient’s condition or care needs – may require it. If needed, a surgical mask will be provided. Please also follow any isolation instructions posted on patient doors.
To help protect patients and staff, visitors should not come to our facilities if they are experiencing cough, fever, respiratory symptoms, or recent exposure to COVID-19.
