I. The UNIVERSITY will be responsible for the selection of qualified students to participate in the clinicial. The students must have the appropriate education background and skills to complete the educational experience offered by Summa Health.
II. The UNIVERSITY will submit the names and emails of the students that are assigned the clinical rotation to the SCCE at Summa Health at least four to six weeks prior to the clinical assignment. (If the students' name is submitted less than six weeks prior to the start of the clinical, Summa Health has the right to deny acceptance of the student at their discretion.)
III. The UNIVERSITY will review any and all applicable policies, rules, and regulations with the student prior to the clinical rotation, and advise them of their responsibilities. Students will also be made aware that if they fail to abide by these policies, rules and regulations, they may be expelled from the program.
I. SUMMA HEALTH THERAPY SERVICES DEPARTMENT will provide the University and students with all relevant rules, regulations and policies, along with information required for the clinical via our website within 1 week of receiving the student's name and email address. Summa Health Therapy Services Department will have the responsibility to update this information as necessary.
II. SUMMA HEALTH THERAPY SERVICES DEPARTMENT has the authority to immediately remove a student who fails to comply with the policies and procedures. If a removal occurs, Summa Health will immediately contact the University DCE/ACCE.
III. SUMMA HEALTH THERAPY SERVICES DEPARTMENT will advise the University as soon as possible of any change in the clinical assignment of a student. If any other clinical sites are available at Summa Health, the Therapy Services Department will help with coordination of the sites so that students get the maximum benefit of the learning experience.
Both parties will mutually agree upon the number of students selected for the clinical program each year.
