WAGtime Program- Visit With Your Dog

Are you interested in bringing your dog to the hospital to visit patients and brighten their day?

Summa Health is always looking for volunteers, including man’s best friends – dogs!

WAGtime is Summa’s pet visitation program that allows individuals and their dogs to visit patients and family members at Summa Health.

These volunteers have a profound impact on the hospital patients they meet, bringing smiles to their faces and helping to lift their spirits. This program enables pet owners to provide services to people in their own community while spending quality time with their dogs.

How to Join WAGtime

WAGtime volunteers must go through a registration process to begin visiting with their dog. Training courses and team evaluations are provided twice a year (Spring and Fall) to prospective volunteers. Prospective volunteers must complete the training course prior to attempting the evaluation. After a team is successfully registered, they will complete general volunteer orientation and can begin visiting with their dog.

If you are interested in becoming a WAGtime volunteer, please contact Volunteer Services at or 330.375.7595 about next steps.
