Application Process

Applications are accepted through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), including J-1 visa applicants. Summa Health participates in the National Resident Matching Program. We currently do not accept H-1 visa applications. Visit the NRMP website or contact the cardiovascular disease fellowship program coordinator for more information.

Eligibility criteria for application to the program include the following:

  • MD or DO
  • US Citizenship, Permanent Resident, or J1 Visa Status
  • Completed 3 years of US postgraduate residency training in an ACGME accredited program by the time of entry into the fellowship program.

ERAS applications should include a complete CV, personal statement, three letters of reference, USMLE Board Score Reports as well as a recent photograph. All positions in the Cardiovascular Disease program are filled through the NRMP match. In addition to the application, the following must be submitted: Three letters of reference (can be sent separately), USMLE board score reports, copies of doctoral certificate, ECFMG certificate (if applicable).
