Program Director, Summa Health System Plastic Surgery Fellowship
Dr. Murthy is the Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Akron Children's Hospital. Dr. Murthy grew up in Stow, Ohio, and attended medical school at Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine (now known as NEOMED). After graduating from a general surgery residency at Akron General Medical Center, and a plastic surgery residency at Summa Health System, Dr. Murthy completed a fellowship in craniofacial surgery at Harvard/Children's Hospital in Boston, MA. He began his practice at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, in 2005, and joined the medical staff at Akron Children's Hospital in 2009.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Murthy performs all types of pediatric reconstructive surgeries, but has a special interest in cleft lip and palate repair as well as craniofacial procedures.
Highlights: Board Certified in Plastic Surgery, Dr. Murthy serves on numerous committees; guest lectures at local, national, and international conferences; and is the author of dozens of articles, publications, and continuing education training materials. He is currently involved in research on how to grow new ears from small sections of cartilage.

Dr. Childs is a board-certified hand and plastic/reconstructive surgeon. He completed his general and plastic surgery training at Summa Health System, and completed a fellowship at the Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, KY.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Childs specializes in general, hand, orthopaedic, and plastic surgery; with particular interests in hand and wrist pathology, peripheral nerve conditions, and the soft tissue component of complex extremity reconstruction.
Highlights: Dr. Childs is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
Faculty, Medical Director, Division Chief, Summa Health System
Dr. Cody is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and obtained his medical training at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Cleveland Clinic. He completed his plastic surgery training at Summa Health System. In addition to his formal plastic surgery training, Dr. Cody completed a breast and microvascular surgery fellowship in New York, before starting his career on the West Coast. After six years as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center in southern California, Dr. Cody returned to Ohio.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Cody specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face and body as well as complex reconstructive procedures, including microsurgical breast reconstruction and facial reanimation.
Highlights: Dr. Cody is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the California Society of Plastic Surgery.
Faculty Plastic Surgery Mentor
Dr. Lehman is a previous Plastic Surgery Residency Program Director at Summa Health System. He held this role for 18 years. He completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh in 1970, followed by a fellowship at the University of Miami with Dr. Millard, and a craniofacial fellowship at Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Lehman's interests include pediatric plastic surgery and maxillofacial trauma.
Highlights: Dr. Lehman is a Professor of Plastic Surgery at the College of Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) and has published over 75 articles. He is a past president of the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association and the Ohio Valley Plastic Surgery Society.

Dr. Lou is a burn & plastic reconstructive surgeon at Akron Children's Hospital. Dr. Lou hails from Arkansas and attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He completed his general surgery residency training at the University of Cincinnati, a trauma & surgical critical care fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University, and a burn fellowship and plastic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. He then joined the medical staff at Akron Children's Hospital in 2016.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Lou performs comprehensive burn care including acute burns, critical care, and burn reconstruction. He also works in the pediatric reconstructive surgery division and has an interest in general plastic surgery and adolescent breast reconstruction.
Highlights: Dr. Lou is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Care.
Faculty Plastic Surgery Mentor
Dr. Mirhaidari is a plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. A native of Northeast Ohio, Dr. Mirhaidari graduated from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in Rootstown, OH. She completed her general and plastic surgery training at Summa Health System and is board certified in both general and plastic surgery.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Mirhaidari specializes in breast reconstruction, postpartum body contouring, facial aesthetic surgery and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, and reconstruction after skin cancer removal.
Highlights: Dr. Mirhaidari belongs to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Association of Women Surgeons. She is an appointed faculty member of NEOMED, where she serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and Clinical Instructor of Surgery.

Dr. Papas, a native of Wadsworth, Ohio, and the principal member of Renaissance Plastic Surgeons, Ltd., practices plastic surgery and hand surgery in the greater Akron area, servicing Medina, Summit, Wayne, and Stark Counties. After graduating from Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine (now known as NEOMED) in Rootstown, OH, Dr. Papas completed a general surgery residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH, a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency through Akron City Hospital/NEOUCOM, and a fellowship through the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, KY.
Areas of Interest: Special interests include nose and facial surgery (including short scar facelift techniques) as well as hand surgery.
Highlights: Dr. Papas is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of both Anatomy and Plastic Surgery at NEOMED. In addition, he has volunteered to participate in medical mission trips to the Philippines, China, and Viet Nam.

Dr. Patel is a craniofacial, pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Akron Children's Hospital. He provides the full range of reconstructive plastic surgery services for infants, children and teens. Dr. Patel attended Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in Rootstown, Ohio. He graduated from a plastic surgery residency at Summa Health System and completed a fellowship at the Craniofacial Center in Dallas, TX.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Patel has a special interest in treating congenital and acquired deformities of the skull, facial bones and overlying soft tissue.
Highlights: Dr. Patel is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, and the American Society of Craniofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Moheb Said is a member of Summa Health Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery team. He attended medical school at Cairo University and general surgery residency at Cairo University Hospitals in Egypt. Additionally, Dr. Said graduated from the general surgery residency at New York's Staten Island University Hospital and Summa Health System's Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship. These programs were followed by a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Microsurgery.

Special interests include perforator-based surgery and microvascular reconstruction of the breast after mastectomy, utilizing virtual surgical planning in head and neck microvascular reconstruction following cancer resection, facial reanimation, lymphatic surgery, general aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.

Dr. Subichin is a plastic surgeon specializing in general, plastic, and reconstructive plastic surgery. He attended medical school at NEOMED, and following an internal medicine internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Subichin returned to Ohio for training and graduated from both Summa Health System's General Surgery Residency and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Subichin has a special interest in general plastic surgery, cosmetic plastic surgery, and post-bariatric surgery.
Highlights: Dr. Subichin excels in research, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.

Dr. Wagner is the previous Plastic Surgery Fellowship Program Director at Summa Health System. Dr. Wagner obtained his medical degree from The Ohio State University, completed a general surgery residency at Summa Health System, a plastic surgery residency at New York University, followed by a breast reconstruction fellowship with Dr. Carl Hartrampf in Atlanta, GA.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Wagner specializes in breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. He is involved in research concerning the safety of silicone gel breast implants, breast reconstruction methods and avoiding complications in breast reconstruction, breast reduction and breast augmentation surgeries.
Highlights: Dr. Wagner is Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, has over 25 years of experience, and serves as a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).

Dr. Yoho is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face and body. He graduated from Norheast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in Rootstown, OH, completed his general surgery residency at Summa Health System, and a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI.
Areas of Interest: Dr. Yoho specilizes in restorative breast surgery, cancer reconstruction, and lymphedema.
