Continued inquiry and scholarship is vital to Summa’s Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Each resident is required to write up and orally present one scholarly work during a Medicine Grand Rounds Session. Scholarly works would include a case report, discussion of a protocol(s), or a research project. The oral presentation is given during the PGY-II academic year.

In addition, residents may choose to take an elective research month during their residency.
