We feel interns should receive thorough preparation and support. That’s why we instituted an orientation month at the beginning of the intern year – and two months of review prior to residency in April and May to prepare incoming interns for their role as residents. Months prior to residency include assigned readings and virtual lectures given by OBGYN faculty. All incoming interns are provided with suture kits and are expected to practice suture skills and knot tying prior to starting residency.
Each week ends with a Simulation to practice what is learned in lecture.
