Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Summa Health
Thank you for showing interest in our program! In our close-knit and collegial atmosphere, it’s all about collaboration and hands-on learning. Our mission is to train a diverse group of highly trained general Orthopaedic surgeons that are defined by their commitment to put their patient's interests first, leadership that exemplifies the highest ideals of our profession and their ability to balance work and family.
What sets our program apart is the experience our residents get. Our residents have the opportunity to train not only at Summa but also get the chance to experience a private practice at Crystal Clinic as well as completed pediatric orthopedic rotations at Akron Children’s Hospital. All of our training is completed here in the Akron area with no need to travel far to complete your education. Many of our faculty are graduates of the program and have a vested interest in resident education. We pride ourselves giving our residents early hands on exposure and the tools to become the best surgeons possible.
