How To Apply

Please note that only residency applications submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) will be considered. Our residency program follows the same guidelines set forth by Summa Health in their Eligibility policy. In addition to Summa’s requirements, we also look for the following information in your ERAS application:

  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Medical Student Performance Evaluation (Dean's Letter)
  • Medical School Academic Transcript
  • Passing USMLE or COMLEX scores - either is acceptable with passage on first two attempts
  • All international medical graduates are required to have passed USMLE steps 1 and 2 before applying
  • U.S. clinical experience is required
  • Personal statement
  • Other helpful information:
    • Documented leadership roles/activities
    • Documented community service/volunteerism activities
