THRIVE Together: Pregnancy, Recovery & Peer Support
Summa Health supports pregnant people with patient-centered, prenatal care. We invite you to join the THRIVE Together program – a safe, confidential space for pregnant people impacted by all forms of substance use, including opiate use disorder.
In THRIVE Together, patients come together in small groups to support one another and engage in discussion with their obstetrical provider. Each group session is 60 minutes and combines clinical check-ins and education. The facilitated discussions are driven by moms, and cover topics ranging from pregnancy development to nutrition and birth control. Depending on the specific group, moms can be at a variety of points in the pregnancy, or together at the same point.
Pregnant people impacted by any substance use disorder are welcome. Registration is preferred but not required. Walk-ins are welcome.
Prenatal care is provided by an OB/GYN and nurse case manager. Medication and MAT (Buprenorphine) are available for participants who need this care.
Topics include substance use disorders, pregnancy, nutrition, exercise, relaxation, breastfeeding, family planning and more.
Your THRIVE Together support team includes OB/GYNs, addiction medicine providers, case managers, social workers, counselors and community health workers (CHWs), who provide prenatal, postpartum and wraparound care
