Engraving and hand coloring on paper

Fannin’s series Pining 1, 2, 3 celebrates the forest as a source of solace, reflection, and understanding of life’s cycles. The calm and ever-changing rhythms of nature offer a language beyond words, bridging cultural and conceptual boundaries. By isolating natural segments of reality in these tree portraits, Fannin creates metaphors for the resilience of the human spirit in facing the challenges and conflicts inherent in the passage of time. The glorification of these natural treasures invites contemplation and offers viewers a moment to reflect on their own human journey.
Location: This artwork series is located at Akron City Hospital, Plastics.
